Wizards of the Coast has introduced a brand new Secret Lair drop for Magic: The Gathering. However this drop is not a crossover with Marvel or filled with retro sport vibes. It’s a part of a brand new experiment being carried out by the tabletop firm, a Secret Lair spin-off generally known as the Chaos Vault.
The Magic: The Gathering Chaos Vault Drop
The announcement of the Chaos Vault Secret Lair drop was understated. There’s a single social media submit on X (previously Twitter) from the official Magic: The Gathering account. It merely reads, “The Vault Opens. Chaos Reigns.” in block capitals alongside art work and a hyperlink.

The retailer web page has a bit extra info. The drop known as The Fairest Drop of All and the outline states that it’s going to function otherwise from different Secret Lair drops.
First, there is just one model of the drop accessible: in foil. Second, orders are restricted to 1 per buyer, presumably to discourage mass purchases by scalpers. Third, the drop is noticeably cheaper in comparison with different foil Secret Lair drops, being bought at an MSRP of $24.99.
As for what’s within the Chaos Vault drop, it incorporates 4 foil reversible playing cards: Estrid’s Invocation, Steely Resolve, Estrid, the Masked, and Tuvasa, the Sunlit. All 4 playing cards function different art work by artists Jessica Hische, Simen Meyer, Yehrin Tong, and Teagan White.

As for the art work, all of them look like elaborate titles introduced in an Artwork Deco fashion. Probably the most elaborate of the playing cards is Tuvasa, the Sunlit, which will get the complete profile therapy.
It’s unclear at time of writing if that is the Chaos Vault drop of many. If the identify is any indication, the artstyle or playing cards chosen is probably not constant both. As such, the attraction of those drops could hinge on novelty, shortage, and worry of lacking out. Solely time will inform simply how chaotic these drops will get.
