Kodansha Manga Awards 2025: Shonen, Shojo, And Normal Class Winners Unveiled


The official web site of Kodansha unveiled the winners of its forty ninth annual manga award on Might 12, 2024.

The choice committee, comprised of notable figures from the manga business, together with Natsumi Ando (One thing’s Mistaken With Us), Tsunami Umino (The Full-Time Spouse Escapist), Etsushi Ogawa (Cooking Grasp Boy), Koji Kumeta (Kakushigoto: My Dad’s Secret Ambition), Kaoru Hayamine (Mirage Queen), Norifusa Mita (Dragon Zakura), and Makoto Yukimura (Vinland Saga).

Kanehito Yamada & Tsukasa Abe’s Frieren: Past Journey’s Finish received the Greatest Shonen manga within the forty eighth Kodansha Manga award. Rumi Ichinohe’s I See Your Face, Turned Away received the Greatest Shojo manga and Tsurumaikada’s Medalist received the most effective manga within the basic class.

Kodansha Manga Awards started in 1977, with classes for shōnen and shōjo. The primary award for the final class was in 1982. Kodansha launched a youngsters’s class award in 2003. Nevertheless, it was merged into the shonen and shojo classes beginning in 2015.
